What is YoWealth Academy?

 

YoWealth Academy is a non-profit organization that assist participants in building a bridge from poverty to self-sufficiency through pre-apprenticeship, career development and work-based learning.

Who is eligible to be a participant?

 

Students with an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) and/or 504 Plans currently enrolled in high school will meet the requirements for our Pre-ETS and Pre-Apprenticeship programs.

Participants that are considered new entrants to the workforce (individuals who never worked or have been out of the workforce for a long period of time), dislocated workers, (individuals who were terminated or laid-off or were self-employed but are now unemployed) and/or incumbent workers (individuals who are employed but need employment and training services to secure full-time employment, advance their careers, or retain their current occupations.

Other categories of participants we serve are post-secondary students, individuals requiring adult basic and other education programs, individuals with disabilities, veterans, individuals with Limited English Proficiency, and individuals impacted by substance misuse. â€‹

What   does   at-risk   mean ?
 
At-risk  means  that  you  may  have  special needs, a deficient in basic literacy skills, a school dropout or potential school dropout, or an individual who requires additional assistance to complete an educational program or to secure and hold employment.
What services do you offer?

 

YoWealth Academy offers the opportunity for participates to learn valuable transitional skills that can lead to employment while providing employers with workforce development assistance in various industry sectors.
