Vocational Consultant

Christene consults, coordinates, organizes, and provides advise on program evaluation and management. She also conducts the workforce development specialist training. Christene has over 40 years professional experience in the special education department holding positions as a Special Education Resource Specialist, School and Community Liaison Coordinator, Vocational Placement Specialist, and a Special Education Teacher. She has been with the organization from its initiation in 2014.

Workforce Development Specialists (WDS),
A WDS coordinates with any trainers, facilitators or interns working with project partners to ensure streamlined service delivery and to track clients and work with employer partners on placement. A WDS may design or conduct work-related training and development programs to improve individual skills or organizational performance. They may also help to analyze organizational training needs or evaluate training effectiveness.

Beverly Anderson,
Bookkeeper
​
Beverly manages the general accounting functions of the organization including A/P, A/R, payroll, and budget monitoring. She will prepare accurate monthly financial statements and management reports. Beverly also coordinates the preparation of 990 tax returns and other reports required by governmental regulations.

Vocational Trainers
The vocational trainers are responsible for training participants in their areas of expertise to enhance employment by providing them with opportunities to receive on-the-job training in various community projects.
Volunteers
Volunteers must have an educational and/or vocational training background through being currently enrolled in school, a graduate, or having experience working with youth and/or young adults.

Yolanda McRae-Marshall, Ed.S.,
Executive Director
As the founder of YoWealth Academy, Yolanda serves as the primary case manager. YoWealth Academy operates as a multi-faceted 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose initiatives include but are not limited to the following: to develop and implement innovative programs for youth services, work to build relationships with employers and funding agencies, build and retain exceptional workforce development specialists and create productive work environments, oversee and coordinate aspects of budgeting and financial management and to lead the organization through periods of substantial growth and transition.
She also works to build on relationships with community stakeholders and funding agencies. She is also responsible for planning events, program delivery, maintaining staff relations, and providing effective leadership. She was a TEM 5 Special Education Teacher recognized through the Legacy Memphis City Schools as being in the top 10% of the teaching workforce, making her one of 624 teachers to qualify as an Irreplaceable in driving positive student outcomes under the district's, I teach, I am campaign. She holds four degrees in various disciplinary areas ranging from pre-law to education administration.
